will my order ship?
We ship most orders within 2 business days of receiving the order.
Virtual
Treasure Chest does not ship on Saturday, Sunday or holidays. Please
allow an additional 24 to 48 hours for weekend orders.
For quicker
delivery Virtual Treasure Chest may ship from multiple warehouses.
Also, we ship each item as soon as it is ready, so don't be concerned
if your order arrives in separate shipments. To save you money, we
calculate shipping charges as if all the items on your order shipped
together.
Standard
Shipping for our products is US Postal Service Priority Mail with
delivery confirmation. Estimated delivery time is 2 to 3 days following shipment. Some heavier or larger items are shipped UPS Ground. UPS Ground usually takes 2 to 6 days for shipping within the continental United States. The shipping method is indicated for each item when it is added to your shopping cart.
Next Day
Express Shipping for our products is US Postal Service Express with
delivery confirmation and tracking numbers provided. Estimated delivery
by 3:00 PM the day following shipment.
Does
choosing Next Day Express mean my order will arrive tomorrow?
Not
usually. Remember to add in our processing time of 2 business days. Please also keep in mind that there is no weekend delivery for Next Day Express.
Shipping and Handling
Fees
Shipping
and handling costs vary by item type, item size, item weight and shipping
method. We've made our shipping policy as fair as possible, so you
benefit from our great prices plus the convenience of delivery to your
door.
For each
item, there is a fixed charge plus a per-item charge. Fixed and per-item
charges differ according to the type of item. A piece of jewelry, for
example, may have a fixed shipping charge of $5.95 and a per-item shipping
charge of $2.00 (assuming standard priority shipping). Shipping a single
piece of jewelry, therefore, costs $7.95 ($5.95 + $2.00). Shipping
two pieces of jewelry costs $9.95 ($5.95 + $2.00 + $2.00).
The fixed
shipping cost for orders containing items from multiple shipping categories
is based on the highest fixed charge in the order plus the variable
(per-item) charge for each item. Example: A customer orders a piece
of jewelry with a fixed shipping charge of $5.95 and a per-item charge
of $2.00. The order also includes a a large sculpture with a fixed
charge of $6.95 and per-item charge of $7.00. The Standard Priority
shipping charge for the order is the highest fixed charge in the order
($6.95) plus the individual per-item charges ($2.00 + $7.00), for a
total shipping charge of $15.95.
